This time it is not about vacation in Finistere. It’s about another wonderful destination.

I’ve been in Italy several times now and have really enjoyed promenading in the evening. Socialising after work and before dinner called Passeggiata in Italian, and strolling along to find a bar or bench where you can take in the scene is part of life throughout the country. During these evening walks I noticed that carousels are now, more than ever, an attraction for adults and children alike. When the sun sets and the Passeggiata continues after dinner, the carousels are a beacon of light. And this is when it starts to become magic for me. Not the people but the colourful light against the darkness, especially when  abandoned by everybody else.

I have two images, which I would like to share today. Only two, and I can’t wait for the next trip to italy.

My Journey in Photography: Photography has fascinated me since my youth. I started with black-and-white photography and spent hours in a room with red light and strong chemicals developing photos. Today, I am discovering digital photography as a medium of endless possibilities. After studying aeronautical engineering, I worked for decades in the aviation industry and am now focusing on further developing my creative side. I find beauty in the subtle and often overlooked details. I create images that tell stories in a unique and thought-provoking way. My work is mostly about urban scapes. I capture the essence and hidden corners of the world I wander through. Join me on a journey to discover unseen beauty and stories from life.
